Today, the Department for contracting and financing of EU funded Programs (CFCU) has hosted a meeting between the representatives of the European Commission, EU Delegation to the Republic of Serbia, Serbian European Integration Office, CFCU and line ministries (IPA units).
Project Officer in Directorate General for Neighborhood and Enlargement Negotiations (DG NEAR) from the Centre of Thematic Expertise on Public Administration Reform, Ritva Heikkinen presented the new European Commission approach on mainstreaming Public Administration Reform (PAR) in sectoral policies.
Twinning is one of the main Institution Building instruments established by the European Commission in order to assist candidate and pre-candidate countries in strengthening their administrative and judicial capacity.
Recognizing its effectiveness, the Serbian public administration is using this instrument under pre-accession assistance, within National Programs IPA 2013 and IPA 2014. Currently there are 10 twinnings in implementation phase.
