Head of Delegation of the European Union in the Republic of Serbia Michael Davenport has visited the Department for Contracting and Financing of EU funded Programmes in the Ministry of Finance.
Mr. Davenport emphasised that Serbia is a country which is devoting big effort to absorb all available European Union funds. He pointed out great progress in the process of public procurement which is the result of joint dedication of the Department staff in the second and third quarter of this year.
During the meeting, Jelena Stojović, Assistant Minister in the Ministry of Finance, specified the goals and priorities of this Department in the next period, and emphasised the importance of further improvement of business processes through capacity building so that the positive trend can continue.
It was concluded that it is possible to make significant positive steps ahead towards common goals by maintaining good cooperation.
